This policy explains how Gather collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our wedding operations platform.

Information we collect

Gather collects information that planners, hosts, and their teams add to a workspace. This may include names, contact details, RSVP responses, household relationships, dietary requirements, travel plans, accommodation details, message history, and event preferences. We also collect account information, such as name, email address, and authentication data, from people who use Gather to manage a workspace.

How we use information

We use this information to provide and improve Gather, organise wedding operations, send messages that a workspace has chosen to send, respond to support requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use wedding guest information for advertising.

Messaging and WhatsApp

When a workspace connects WhatsApp, Gather processes the phone numbers, messages, delivery status, and responses needed to send and manage that workspace's guest communications. WhatsApp data is used only to provide the messaging features requested by the workspace and is handled in accordance with applicable Meta and WhatsApp terms.

When we share information

We share information only with the people authorised to access a workspace and with service providers that help us operate Gather, such as hosting, authentication, and messaging providers. These providers may process information only as needed to deliver their services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect Gather, our users, or others.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. We retain information for as long as a workspace remains active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

Access, correction, and deletion

You may ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information held in Gather. Workspace administrators can remove guest information directly from their workspace. To request deletion of your Gather account or information associated with a WhatsApp connection, contact us at privacy@getgather.in. We will verify and respond to requests as required by applicable law.

Changes and contact
